Meet Our Board of Directors 2020-2021

Each year DBC seeks enthusiastic members to help lead the club. If you are interested in participating please let one of us know. You can get your feet wet as a Member-at-Large!

Feel free to bring ideas to the Board ... we meet (typically) the second Tuesday of each month (except July, August & September).

To reach any board member via email::

Tom Niccum

Tom started coming to the desert annually in 2014,

with a group from Minnesota. After retirement in 2017, he made the Coachella Valley his permanent home.

He loves traveling to Europe with his bike and coffee!

Skip Yungfleisch

Vice President

Skip moved permanently to Rancho Mirage in 2014. He has a passion for cycling and cares a great deal for the desert cycling community.

 Michael Roccisano

Michael says, "I'm a single father of two who enjoys long pulls at the front and a nice bottle of Pinot Noir!"

Lynn Bixen

Lynn’s been part of the SoCal bike scene for 35 years.  Road, mountain, gravel and vintage! Her kids both are cyclists, one in So Cal and one in Sweden.  She’s been in the desert for 28 years and takes tremendous pride in her desert and cycling community.

Christine Tinsley

Member-at-Large: Community Outreach

Christine has been cycling since she was a kid in Tulsa, OK. "Cycling is my therapy." She has since traded in her purple Schwinn for a Trek and now leads the club's C-Rides.

I hope people enjoy cycling in the valley as much as I do."  Her role as Community Outreach works with local community partners to promote safe cycling and healthy living.

She is a junior high science teacher and mom to a "really terrific" grown son, Austin.

Allyson Keller

Consultant: Membership & Communications

Allyson's bike doesn't hit the road as often as it should - but then she is always busy at the computer!

Thanks to our members-at-large Christine Tinsley, Stuart Fealk, Kevin Shandera, and Rick Koscelnik as they fill out the Board with talent and support!
